The High Point K9 Club
Since the HPB was MIA in August, this totally slipped under the radar, but it definitely seems like a great way to get to know your fellow dog owners. This was posted as a comment on the about page:
Announcing The High Point K9 Club.http://activedogs.meetup.com/165/
From our Welcome Page:
Don’t just know the dog’s name - know the owner’s name! Get to know your neighbors at The High Point. The High Point, when complete, will encompass 120 acres, 34 blocks long (that’s the size of downtown Seattle), and over 1,600 homes. That’s a lot of people, and you should know at least the dog-friendly ones!
Go for walks together (around the neighborhood, hike at Camp Long, walk at one of the many beaches), enjoy some off-leash playtime at Westcrest Park, get to know the senior citizens and give them some “pet therapy”, influence the younger residents by setting a good example. Start planning your pup’s Howloween costume NOW. And be part of the effort to bring an off-leash area to The High Point.
You don’t have to be a dog owner to be a member of this club. Get some exercise and some dog pets in at the same time without having to pick up after them!
Dog Owners and Lovers living in the surrounding areas are also welcome to join their neighbors at The High Point.
